Without a doubt we all knew it was coming, but It’s still exciting all the same! With the upcoming Obi-Wan series airing on the 27th of May, Star Wars fans were wating on any news regarding a show following Ahsoka. Then, the official Disney Twitter put out an image of an all too familiar hat resting on the director’s seat.
It only seems fair to let Dave Filoni take the reigns. It was he who ushered Ahsoka into the Star Wars universe all those years ago in The Clone Wars. More recently, she appeared in live action in The Mandalorian played by Rosario Dawson, as well as an episode of The Book of Boba Fett. As for the rest of the cast, it’s been confirmed that Hayden Christensen will star in the show, possibly in a flashback scene of some sorts. It’ll be fun to see what kind of de-ageing tricks will be used for those scenes if they do happen. Other than that the full known cast is quite short but includes: Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Ray Stevenson and Ivanna Sakhno.
What do we already know?
Back in December of 2020 the show was first announced (with some of the cast) to be on the list of Star Wars related shows coming to Disney+. It was definitely a fan favourite to come out as I, alongside others, grew up with The Clone Wars. We enjoyed Ashoka’s journey and adventures throughout the seasons, eventually concluding with the incredible final season and the wrap up for Ashoka’s story. Or so we thought, but after her appearances in The Mandalorian among other shows seems to suggest it’s not over yet.
