WB Games Montréal have given another in-depth look at Gotham Knights, this time with two ex-Robins in the spotlight

Gotham Knights, the action-RPG set in the Batman universe, got a new trailer today, May 10th. The trailer shows off former Batman protégés Nightwing and Red Hood and their fighting styles.
The trailer offers a mix of combat and stealth gameplay, with both looking very reminiscent of Rocksteady‘s Arkham games. In combat, players look to be locked in on one enemy at a time while having to either dodge or counter attacks from surrounding goons. Meanwhile, in the sneaky sections, players will be sticking on gargoyles and ledges high up above, picking off targets one-by-one.

Nightwing’s combat is very acrobatic, with a lot of flipping and diving as he knocks enemies down with two batons. Red Hood, on the other hand, uses guns loaded with non-lethal rounds, and generally has more brutal-looking moves. The trailer shows some co-op play between the two, confirming that the game will allow people to play together.
These sections give a look at open world traversal, with each character having their own unique ways to get around the map. Nightwing gets a high-tech glider, whilst Red Hood uses soul magic to jump around everywhere.

The trailer also shows the main hub of the game, the Belfry. In it, we are given a look at the game’s map, the gear and equipment system, and a little bit of character interaction. About half of the trailer follows a mission to discover the mysterious Court of Owls, a crime syndicate from the comics and one of the primary antagonistic factions in the game. Moreover, this segment shows some other gameplay features, like light puzzle solving with AR vision, much like the detective vision from the Arkham games.
Gotham Knights releases on October 25th this year, with Robin and Batgirl being playable alongside Nightwing and Red Hood. Which character will you play through as? Will you play with friends?
