Pikmin Gummies coming this September!

Pikmin are eaten in the games all the time. Now’s your chance to finally get in on the action

Stop everything you’re doing, because the most important news piece of 2021 has dropped! Bandai Namco’s Candy Division (yes they have a Candy division) is releasing Pikmin-shaped Gummy sweets to retail stores in Japan next month!

While everybody eagerly awaits to get a taste of the upcoming Pikmin 4, for now we’ll have to settle with tasting this new line of Pikmin-themed gummies. These tasty treats will go on sale exclusively in Japan in September 2021 for ¥108 (about $1 USD), where we can’t wait to inevitably see them be sold for extortionate prices on ebay.

Each gummy is about the size of a cherry tomato and will be sold in packs. The packs will include a grape-flavoured blue Pikmin, an orange flavoured yellow Pikmin, an apple-flavoured red Pikmin and a lemon & strawberry flavoured white Pikmin. The leaf parts of each Pikmin will apparently taste like muscat grapes and the white Pikmin is said to taste sourer in reference to its toxicity in the games.

Sadly, there are no blackcurrant-flavoured purple Pikmin, aniseed-flavoured rock Pikmin or raspberry-flavoured Winged Pikmin to be found in these packs, at least for now.

Whilst seeing your Pikmin brutally chomped and devoured in the games is a harrowing sight, we can ignore that tragedy just this once if it means getting to savour these garden-dwelling snacks.

With Niantic’s Pikmin app also on the horizon, could these curiously cute candies be a sign of more Pikmin related content to come?

What do you think of these small sweets? Will you be hunting them down online or in import stores? Are you looking forward to the upcoming Pikmin app and Pikmin 4? Let us know in the comments below!
