The first teaser trailer for The Witcher prequel series, Blood Origin, has been dropped by Netflix.
We initially learnt about the upcoming Netflix Original show last week as an end credits scene for Season 2 of The Witcher. This prequel miniseries takes place in the same universe as The Witcher Continent, albeit some 1200 years prior to the events of The Witcher and the adventures of Geralt of Rivia.

The show is currently in post-production and much of the cast has already been confirmed, with notable roles cast including Michelle Yeoh as Scian, Lenny Henry as Balor and Jacob Collins-Levy as Eredin.
The showrunner and executive producer for Blood Origin is Declan De Barra, who is also responsible for Netflix’s The Witcher series first aired in 2019.
Yeoh is a brilliant actress and martial artist best recognised for her appearances in Star Trek: Discovery and Shang Chi. According to Netflix Geeked, she is set to play the role of “sword-elf Scian, whose deadly quest to retrieve a stolen sacred sword will lead her on a journey that will change the outcome of the Continent.“

The Witcher prequel series Blood Origin will dive into the events that lead to the pivotal “Conjunction of the Spheres,” when the worlds of monsters, men, and elves colided.
