Nintendo holds a Direct presentation for their winter releases

Nintendo held a Direct showcase today, September 13th, which primarily went through Switch releases coming this winter. While Nintendo didn’t air the Direct live on Nintendo’s UK channel, it was available to watch on their main channel. Sitting at around 40 minutes, here are just a few of the announcements:

Ever wanted to get fit by boxing along with Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star? Well on the slim chance that you did, now you can with this DLC for Fitness Boxing.

Front Mission and Harvest Moon Remakes

Next up is a few remakes, with ground-up recreations of tactical mech games Front Mission 1 and 2, as well as a remake of Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, called Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life. The Front Mission games date all the way back to the Super Famicom, and PlayStation 1. Meanwhile, A Wonderful Life was made for the Gamecube.

Pikmin 4

The long awaited sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild finally got an official title and release date. Called Tears of the Kingdom, the game is set for a release date of May 12th, 2023. We also saw some gameplay, which seems to have a much more vertical focus than its predecessor. As Link soars skyward and dives towards the ground, we can only assume how all this translates to gameplay until that May release date.
