New Cyberpunk update adds transmog and an enhanced photo mode

With new in-game secrets relating to the show, and the jacket of main character David Martinez added as a costume.
However, this Cyberpunk update also comes with a bunch of other additions and fixes announced by CD Projekt Red in a blog post. Primarily is a transmog system, which lets you change the look of your outfit without changing armor stats. According to patch notes, you can “create up to 6 outfits using the pieces of clothing you own”. The player can do this through a wardrobe which you can access in V’s apartments and safehouses.

Moreover, there’s now cross-progression between platforms, where the game will upload your latest saves to the cloud to be easily accessed on other platforms. On top of that, CDPR have added a minigame called Roach Race to in-game arcades and real-life app stores on Android and iOS.

Phantom Liberty
On top of the update was a teaser for a big expansion to Cyberpunk 2077, titled Phantom Liberty. The description of the teaser calls it a “spy-thriller expansion” that’s “set in an all new district of Night City”. The trailer shows V pledging loyalty to the New United States of America, followed by Johnny Silverhand (still played by Keanu Reeves) saying that doing so was a “bad idea”. We get some glimpses of a dilapidated city, a corpse atop a blood-smattered logo for the New USA, and a plane crash landing directly at the player. The expansion will release in 2023.
Finally, CDPR also debuted a new English trailer for the Edgerunners show, which premieres on September 13th. The show’s Twitter account also confirmed the English dub’s cast which, interestingly, has Giancarlo Esposito in the cast list playing Faraday.
