All the latest Marvel reveals from San Diego Comic Con
San Diego Comic Con ran over the weekend, with a wealth of new Marvel trailers realeased over the past few days. After kicking off on Thursday with a trailer and panel for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, the con continued with a variety of trailers. From Marvel to DC to Disney to AMC, everyone had new things to show off. Marvel plans to move into their next phase and beyond. Meanwhile DC’s showings centred around Shazam! and his nemesis, Black Adam.
Marvel’s phase five, dubbed the Multiverse Saga, will run for the next two years. With a multitude of shows and movies, this phase looks to continue the multiverse thread opened up by phase 4. We can see the full timeline of planned movies and shows below:
As we can see, this next phase will introduce a lot of new characters and bring some already existing heroes front and center. Outside the main important series and movies, there’s also a 5-episode miniseries centred around Groot. Simply titled I Am Groot, the show follows a young Groot in a handful of short adventures.
Beyond phase 5, there are already plans for phase 6, kicking off at the end of 2024. Confirmed for now is a Fantastic 4 movie, set for a release date of November 8th, 2024. And also Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, which is the next big Infinity War/Endgame-esque conclusion and releases on May 2nd, 2025.
