Paper Girls Comes To Fruition In New Trailer

The official trailer for the new Prime Video series Paper Girls has arrived. The series is an adaptation of the beloved Graphic Novels by Brian K. Vaughan and illustrated by Cliff Chiang. The new trailer raises the stakes for the show’s main cast whilst also introducing the villains for the upcoming show.

The introductions we receive in the trailer are for Tiffany Quilkin (Camryn Jones), Erin Tieng (Riley Lai Nelet), Mac Coyle (Sofia Rosinsky), and KJ Brandman (Fina Strazza). It shows four preteen newspaper delivery girls who, while out on their paper routes in the early morning hours after Halloween, become caught in the crossfire between warring time-travellers, changing their lives forever.

The trailer shows them coming face-to-face with older versions of themselves in 2019. They rely on each other and the adults to try and help them escape the time-traveling police hunting them.

As the trailer shows us, one morning, the work of the papers girls gets interrupted by a strange purple light burning bright in the sky. The four try to get to safety as fast as possible and hide in Erin’s home. However, as soon as they close the door behind them, the four teenagers meet a grown-up woman who claims to also be Erin.

As they will soon find out, something accidentally took the paper girls into the future. Now, they will have to learn to work together in order to find their way back home. The new trailer underlines how the girls are initially far from being friends. With gender and racial stereotypes instilled by their families getting in their way of creating a genuine connection. Hopefully, throughout the series’ run, unity will eventually prevail!
