5 Secrets in GTA V you may have missed!

grand theft auto 5 v

Grand Theft Auto games are known for their big maps, which is arguably one of their best features. If you’re running around in such a large space, you’re bound to find some hidden treasures. Secrets and Easter eggs have become a famous feature of Grand Theft Auto, and Grand Theft Auto 5 is no exception.

One of the most unique aspects of this game is the number of hidden locations, random encounters, and pop culture references it has. There are almost too many to list, and some are well-known to gamers. Other treasures can only be found by those who dig deeply into Los Santos to find the treasures buried deep within the city.

Find Some Cash From a No Country For Old Men Reference

There’s a chance to encounter a GTA 5 recreation of one of the opening scenes in No Country For Old Men, but it’ll require a little luck and familiarity with the film to get the most out of the chance encounter.

You will have a chance of coming across an unusual situation while wandering around Mount Chiliad. It is a possibility that you’ll come across what looks like a drug deal that went wrong, with a circle of pickup trucks parked around an open space with several dead gang members lying about. Shall you choose to get involved, you can hunt down and eliminate the remaining gang members for a nice little $25,000.

It will be evident that you will have attracted some unwanted followers after only a few miles away from the grisly scene.  You will observe two pickup trucks aggressively following and engaging to regain the stolen money, with boths trucks closely resembling the ones abandoned at the deal.

Find Thelma And Louise In Mount Chiliad

Yet another weird find in the Mount Chiliad region, It can only be seen by flying to the location with a helicopter, and it will only occur between 7 pm and 8 pm. If you fly close to the location, you may see a group of law enforcement officers standing off on top of a mountain. You will also be able to witness a small group of police cars and policemen firing at a tornado.

If you manage to examine the scene close enough, you will potentially see two females in a car with two guitars and a large sombrero sitting in the back seat. As the officers slowly approach the Tornado, the car will accelerate and drive off the edge of the cliff and can explode upon landing in the valley below, assuming nothing was in their driving path. Yet another easter egg that mostly exists for the benefit of film fans.

An Alien Frozen In Time

grand theft auto 5 alien trapped in ice

Aliens crop up a few times in Grand Theft Auto 5 but there is one, in particular, most people would have missed. You can find this alien which is the first sighting you will have in the game assuming you can find it, specifically within Grand Theft Auto 5 prologue.

The car should be maneuvered right and taken under the bridge as you approach the railroad crossing. Exiting the vehicle is the next step. As soon as you step out of the car, you should look down at the frozen river. An alien will be visible under the ice, whose flying saucer may have crashed into the water. Another one for film buffs, as this alien very closely resembles Ridley Scott’s own terrifying Xenomorph!

Discover Some UFO’s

grand theft auto 5 v alien ufo

Sticking with the alien theme, UFOs have been popping up randomly throughout every Grand Theft Auto similarly to aliens and Grand Theft Auto 5 is no exception. It turns out there are four separate UFOs to seek out. However, there is a catch to it. Three of these UFOs only appear after you have achieved 100% completion of the game.

First, take a chopper above sandy shores to the hippie camp, you’ll see alien murals and symbols throughout. Then, fly as high as you possibly can in a helicopter, and you will eventually see the Sandy Shores UFO.  If you parachute just below the UFO you may notice a circular door open and a bright ray of light will shine down but you will not be pulled up to the ship.

Another UFO that can be seen after completing the game 100% is seen above Fort Zancudo. This one is seen at about 80% height so if you do not see it straight away you may need to reduce your altitude and keep searching. Eventually, it should appear.

Lastly, there is the UFO above Mount Chiliad. There is a message written on the deck that reads, “Come back when you have completed your story.” If you then return to this website after you have completed your story fully, there will be a UFO as long as the weather is cloudy, and you are there at 3:00 a.m.

Get Lost In GTAs Bermuda Triangle

The Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil’s Triangle makes a surprise appearance in Grand Theft Auto 5. The Bermuda Triangle is an area off the coast of Florida famous for all manner of strange and unexplained phenomena. Ships have gone missing, planes have completely disappeared, and things generally get a little weird when people enter it.

The GTA version is located in Paleto Bay, and many people that have played the game have noticed some weird things. Pretty much as soon as you enter this area, you are teleported backwards without your vehicles, and you may also find that things go missing from your inventory…

Did you manage to find any of these hidden treasures? Let us know in the comments below. For more Grand Theft Auto content click here!
