Final Fantasy‘s huge milestone brings big news for any and all Final Fantasy fans as Square Enix dropped a lot of hints at what they will be doing for the anniversary. First up is the special 35th anniversary site that has appeared to herald more news on upcoming projects. For example, Chocobo GP and Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin. It also teases more to come in the future. More so than that is the Final Fantasy VII news as it turns 25 years old this year. Furthermore, there’s not been much news regarding FF7 Remake Part 2 so far. Other than confirmation last year that Naoki Hamaguchi, the co-director of FF7 Remake Part 1, will take over full directing duties.
As for other news, it seems we’ll have to wait until June for anything substantial regarding FF7 Remake Part 2. Also coming soon is FF16 which looks to push the PS5 to its limits.
Except with the below trailer where Square Enix, just like most people, could not find a PS5 and had to emulate it on PC instead.
Did you get to play FF7 on the PS1 with all 3 disks? Are you a huge fan of the newer titles? Let us know in the comments how you feel and join our Discord for more news and discussion.
