She-Hulk Is Coming To Disney+!

That’s right, She-hulk, cousin of Bruce Banner (AKA The Hulk) is leaping on the Disney+ streaming service! The first episode is set to air on August 17 and Marvel has given us a trailer showing off some of the visuals and story.

The story will center around Jennifer Walters, who is both attorney and superhero. The character’s background seems to be faithful to the comics but there are some notable changes. Jen’s personality seems to appear more down to earth here compared to her comic counterpart.

In the place of an idealistic lawyer that holds the rule of law in high regard, there is a 30 year old woman who is preoccupied with her career and dating prospects. This change was probably made to accommodate the more light-hearted tone of the show.

“Your ass looks crazy right now.”

In contrast to Moon Knight’s more serious story, She-Hulk promises to be a more typical Marvel comedy/action romp, complete with punchlines and punches. We also see the Hulk ex-villain, Abomination making his second appearance in Disney’s cinematic universe.

He was previously seen duking it out with Wong during the events of Shang-Chi, having a much more mellow personality. However, it must be noted that Bruce is still in his Professor Hulk form here, which means this could be prior to Avengers: Endgame.

When Bruce appears in Shang-Chi, he’s back in his human form with an arm brace, which was confirmed to take place after Endgame. Therefore, this movie could give us a villainous Abomination and some context for his change of heart.

Are you keen on giving the show a try? Maybe you’re a big fan of She-Hulk? Whatever it is, go wild with your thoughts down the comment box! Also, don’t forget to join our Discord and discuss all things gaming and entertainment with the All Maverick team and community!
