The Future Of Cyberpunk 2077

Ever since its release, Cyberpunk 2077 has had a complicated life cycle. From the broken game it once was, to the game it is now. We never knew what was next for this game and sadly, that still seems the case.

It seems that Cyberpunk 2077’s future is slightly uncertain as nobody truly knows what will happen next. The developers seem to be focused on continued support to rid the game of those pesky bugs that are still a nuisance. It’s worth mentioning to those of you who are still scared to pick up Cyberpunk 2077 that it is NOT the game it once was. But, you can find my articles on that here and here.

Sadly, DLC has been pushed back to a 2023 release date as the developers continue to focus on other stability issues and just overall patch fixes. A lot of fans are hoping we will still see some new features before then. Things like ‘New Game+’, for those who are unfamiliar with this, it would essentially allow the player to start a new game whilst keeping their items. Not having to worry about finding that preem gun you found again or knowing that your nova outfit is still with you would be an amazing feature. We’re also hoping to get a ‘Transmog’ type feature that would allow us to customise some of the clothing. Cyberpunk is infamous for some good looking clothes but sadly, they don’t always have the same stats to warrant using them. This often means the player has to pick between looking good and performing well…

It is worth noting that if you have Cyberpunk on PC then you should certainly look into modding it. You can do truly amazing things with mods and make the game feel and look completely different. Here’s one of my favourites!

There is a whole other world of mods you can download and install. If a gonk like me can do it, then you certainly can too! If you’re looking for help then you should join AMM’s community discord! It’s full of helpful people who know their stuff and it’s honestly one of the most welcoming discords I’ve found yet. I even asked the people in the discord for their help with all the pictures in this article!

Due to Cyberpunk’s rocky start and its unstable fanbase, it’s up to us, the fans to keep this game alive and show CD Projekt Red that this game is beloved by so many of us. This fanbase has some pretty amazing ideas. From people who bring so much more life to side characters like 8ug8ear and T-Bug to the ones who sadly, never got their chosen romance partner for V.

Sadly, that’s all we have for Cyberpunk 2077. Its future is uncertain, but I’m positive if the community comes together then Cyberpunk 2077 will have a bigger and brighter future.

What are your thoughts on Cyberpunk 2077’s future?! Are you excited to see what’s coming to Night City or would you rather CDPR focus on something else?

A rare guest appearance from my own V!
