Some brand new news regarding the development of Crysis 4 has come to light in the form of Mattias Engström. He was the game director for titles such as Hitman 3, and developed many Ubisoft titles. For example, The Division, Far Cry 3 and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. This news comes off the back of job listings regarding a new major project spotted on Crytek’s website job board. Earlier this year, an official leak showing a teaser image of the newest Crysis game was announced, as well as a blog by Crytek that confirmed it and gave us some more details about the upcoming game.
So far, it seems Crytek are happy to be making a new Crysis game off the back of an underwhelming remaster, which garnered a lot of negativity and even some controversy as Crytek pressured a modder to remove a photomode mod they created. But it seems to have smoothed over with a hyped reaction to the brand new game in the series. Even if it is the early stages, there’s still a lot to be excited about.
