The Batman 2 now in the works alongside many other DC superhero films

The Batman was a high detail gritty film that brought us back to the Detective side of The Bat

At this year’s CinemaCon, we got official confirmation of a sequel to the well acclaimed and incredibly well-grossing The Batman. Although, there isn’t much concrete news outside of 1: It’s happening and 2: Robert Pattinson will be returning to play the Caped Crusader. Other than that, it’s barebones for the Bat. It is, however, easy to see why a sequel would be in the works. A tweet from BenjiSales including Deadline shows off the staggering success the film had at the box office and topped a few previous figures set by Warner Bros‘ DC films.

But that’s not all. Warner Bros pulled out all the DC big guns at CinemaCon. Alongside The Batman 2 were announcements for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, Black Adam (starring Dwayne Johnson) as well as Super Pets (which is also getting a game this spring), a trailer for a new Flash film and a Shazam sequel called Shazam: Fury of the Gods were also present for CinemaCon. It’s looking like a good few years for DC with all the new and hyped announcements coming out in this one event.

We do have a date for at least one of these films, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is coming March 17 2023 but the other films are just trailers and short snippets confirmed by cast members and staff who attended CinemaCon.

[…] More than likely this will be an all Joker film with no mention or showing of Batman or many of the other Gotham based villains and heroes even with the great reception of Robert Pattinson’s Batman as well as the post credits scene and Barry Keoghan’s Joker and his means of escape but it seems to be it’s own small universe separate to the other DC films.
