In an interview with YouTuber KIWI TALKZ, one of the writers for Portal and it’s sequel Erik Wolpaw discussed many things. These regarded Valve, previous titles he had worked on as a writer and so forth. One such thing was a desire to make Portal 3 soon as, in his words, “I’m not getting any younger”. Referring to the fact it has been such a long time since the last game. He also brings up the fact that he would make it in a heartbeat if he had a dedicated team and sufficient time. However, he also said that all the Valve staff are very busy and that he couldn’t even take about 75 of them to work on a new game.

He went on to explain that getting the Valve team to get together on a project such as Portal 3 would be akin to rallying a revolution and also commented on the fact Portal 3 would be a success financially. It’ll be exciting to see where the story and direction of the Portal series goes if it does.

“We’ve gotta’ start Portal 3. That’s my message to… to whoever,”
