“How appropriate. You fight like a cow!”
After 2 years of no new developments on the swashbuckling and insult slinging series Secret of Monkey Island, a sudden and unexpected update from lead developer Ron Gilbert on his blog posted on April Fools Day had people initially laugh it off as a really good ‘gotcha’ moment. However, it seems this was no such joke, as not long after this post a trailer was released on Devolver Digital‘s very own YouTube channel confirming the 2022 release of a new title.
Whether it be swashbuckling pirates on the shores of Monkey Island or trading insults and blows from the swabbed deck of a pirate ship, It’ll be exciting to see what new ideas and features (And of course what new insults we can hurl) are added with this new game.
