Kirby and The Forgotten Land has maintained the #1 spot for physical game sales in UK, for a second week in a row according to GfK.

Released on March 3, this game contended with a release window that was a mere 6 days after the highly anticipated Elden Ring. Despite the internet discussion completely being overtaken by Elden Ring, Kirby and The Forgotten Land has sold 2.5 times more than its previous best entry.

Following behind in physical sales is First Person Shooter Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands in second place and Elden Ring in third. This is impressive considering that Kirby is one of Nintendo’s smallest franchises in the UK.
The dominant sales for this game is an indication that interest in more light-hearted adventures is still strong within the gaming community. What’s certain is that we’ll definitely be seeing more Kirby entries in the future!

The second and third runner ups for physical game sales in the UK
Fans and critics have both praised the game, earning it an impressive score of 85 on Metacritic. Vibrant graphics and polished gameplay have been quoted as the main strengths of the game.
This game is one of the many fantastic releases we’ve had these past few months. Games like Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Elden Ring and Tiny Tina’s Wonderland have all come from well established franchises.
Similar to Kirby and The Forgotten Land, these studios have managed to elevate and innovate on old franchises to give players new fresh experiences whilst staying true to their roots.
