This year Wrestlemania is having mixed reactions, from all sides of the wrestling fandom. So why not take a look at some of the standout matches from this year’s card and also; a minor prediction for each winner! For added fun, I also sent the match card to our manager Jez, as someone who hasn’t watched WWE in literal years I thought it would be fun to see if he could guess some of the winners whilst having no knowledge of the current WWE Superstars.
Roman Reigns VS Brock Lesnar

Starting with the obvious, Roman VS Brock has fans mixed in their opinions. Some people are genuinely hyped for this, others aren’t but the majority only have an issue with this match because it involves both titles. Brock Lesnar didn’t need to win the Royal Rumble, nor did he need to win the WWE Championship. This match would have been fine to be the main event of Wrestlemania but it being title for title is just beyond silly. Though with the current momentum meaning this match could go either way, this writer is leaning towards Roman Reigns winning!
Prediction: Roman Reigns
Jez’s Prediction: Roman Reigns
Charlotte Flair VS Ronda Rousey

Lots of people were excited to see the return of Ronda Rousey and even more people just expected Ronda to face Becky Lynch so it was a somewhat pleasant surprise to see her pick Charlotte over Becky. Although as I have said before, Ronda didn’t need to win the Royal Rumble. She has enough star power to get a ‘Mania match and Liv Morgan was robbed of winning the Royal Rumble. I have to say that I am a bit fond of Charlotte and want to see her win; it’s also the most logical choice as I don’t expect Ronda to stick around.
Prediction: Charlotte Flair
Jez’s prediction: Charlotte Flair
Becky Lynch VS Bianca Belair

Many fans were happy to see Bianca Belair going to ‘Mania and that is always great to see long term storytelling in Wrestling. Liv Morgan should have been walking out of ‘Mania with a title on her shoulder but I’m very happy to see it be Bianca instead. She is certainly a healthy alternative! As someone who cannot stand Becky I’m 100% hoping Bianca walks out as champion and perhaps drops the title to Liv Morgan around Summerslam.
Prediction: Bianca Belair
Jez’s Prediction: Becky Lynch
The USOs VS Rick Boogs and Shinsuke Nakamura

Nothing beats Shinsuke and Rick’s entrance and it truly is such an enjoyable experience. Shin losing the Intercontinental Championship was a big letdown and Nakamura deserves to hold some gold. The USOs have held onto the Smackdown Tag Team belts for a little too long. Nakamura and Boogs need to take home the gold because I’m not sure what else would be left for them to do.
Prediction: Shinsuke Nakamura & Rick Boogs
Jez’s Prediction: Shinsuke Nakamura & Rick Boogs
The Miz & Logan Paul VS The Mysterios

Celebrity appearances, if done right, are brilliant; the point, in this case, was Bad Bunny’s appearance at Wrestlemania 37. However, sometimes you have to take a look at the celebrity and just question why WWE thought this was a good idea. Logan Paul has come a long way since his Musical.ly days but none of my friends are excited to see him stepping into a WWE ring at Wrestlemania. For the sake of my own bias against Logan, I’m going to back the Mysterios to win. As much as I like The Miz, Rey and Dominik getting a win and having a WrestleMania moment.
Prediction: The Mysterios
Jez’s Prediction: The Mysterios
Stone Cold Steve Austin VS Kevin Owens

Is it an official match? Not really so I was unsure to include this but it will be a major talking point from Wrestlemania 38. Stone Cold is a WWE legend and people would pay megabucks to see him in the ring again. I’m unsure who will come out of this ‘match’ as the victor. Will WWE take the nostalgic route and have Stone Cold walk away victorious or will they have Kevin Owens get the upper hand?! This one is a difficult one to call but I’m going to have to say Stone Cold.
Prediction: Stone Cold Steve Austin
Jez’s Prediction: Stone Cold Steve Austin
Seth Rollins VS Mystery Opponent.

Who doesn’t love a surprise?! We here at All Maverick do! Seth’s mysterious opponent has the potential to be the most talked-about thing this year as a whole. Will it be Cody Rhodes?! Will it be Shane McMahon?! Only time will tell who has been ‘hand chosen’ to face Seth. Safe to say most people are banking on it being Cody but I happen to think it might be Shane McMahon given recent rumours that he’s been brought in for Wrestlemania weekend.. Whoever Seth faces will effect the outcome of this match. If it is Cody Rhodes, then he would win. Shane McMahon though? Seth would beat him. So, I can’t call this.
Prediction: Unavailable.
Drew McIntyre VS Happy Corbin

This match isn’t one I’m excited to watch and would dub it the one I’d use to refill my drink and get some snacks. As someone who isn’t invested in this at all in this match, I’ll jump straight to the prediction which is Drew just because he’s from Scotland and the more likeable out of the two but that isn’t saying much.
Prediction: Drew McIntyre
Jez’s Prediction: Drew McIntyre
Bobby Lashley VS Omos

Bobby Lashley has been on fire lately. It seems losing his title to Brock Lesnar hasn’t slowed him down and it seems WWE still have plans for Bobby otherwise he wouldn’t be walking into Wrestlemania. I have little to no idea who is going to come out of this bout victorious but everyone knows Vince loves big meaty men slapping meat and that’s exactly what this match is. I’m going to have to pick Bobby Lashley to win because I don’t really see the point in Omos wrestling much less being a part of Wrestlemania.
Prediction: Bobby Lashley
Jez’s Prediction: Omos
Queen Zelina & Carmella VS Naomi & Sasha Banks VS Rhea Ripley & Liv Morgan VS Natalya and Shayna Bazler

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again; Liv Morgan should be walking out of Wrestlemania as the Raw Women’s Champion. I believe that her being in this match is simply to make up for that. The Women’s Tag Team belts haven’t been used much for a while now and are usually just shoehorned in to make up match time but I want Liv Morgan to have a Wrestlemania Moment. It isn’t the main title, nor is it a title that most people even take seriously but a title is a title so for me, Liv and Rhea have to win this one. No brainer.
Prediction: Liv Morgan & Rhea Ripley
Jez’s Prediction: Natalya and Shayna Bazler
Edge VS AJ Styles

A dream match for the ages some might say. An icon versus an icon. Edge VS AJ has the potential to be a memorable match and everyone is hoping this one lives up to the hype. If he was still in his prime I might have picked Edge to win this one but I don’t see the point in AJ losing to Edge. In my ideal mind, AJ wins this and goes on to win one of the main two titles.
Prediction: AJ Styles
Jez’s Prediction: Edge
Pat McAfee VS Austin Theory

Pat McAfee is the gift that keeps on giving. His charisma on the commentary is a highlight of Smackdown each week and whenever he is missing, his absence is surely felt. Most of the community is unsure about this one but I’ll take a pointless Pat McAfee match over a Corey Graves one any day. As he isn’t a full time Wrestler, the point of Pat winning for anything other than to excite the crowd is the only thing he has going for him. For that, my prediction is Austin Theory!
Prediction: Austin Theory
Jez’s Prediction: Austin Theory
Sami Zayn VS Johnny Knoxville

This feud has lasted since Royal Rumble and has been a fan favourite of lots of people. Sami’s acting and ability to tell this feud are what have made it memorable for many. From the tweets about Sami’s phone number being placed on a blimp and flown across a city making fans call him (Yes this actually happened, see it here) to Sami gate crashing the premiere of the latest Jackass movie. It was such a masterpiece to watch but since Knoxville sticking around isn’t likely, I’m going to pick the logical choice and say Sami Zayn to win this.
Prediction: Sami Zayn
Jez’s Prediction: Johnny Knoxville
RK-Bro VS The Street Profits VS Alpha Academy

Given Randy Orton’s history of turning on his own tag team partner, I’m shocked his partnership with Riddle has lasted this long and I’m looking forward to seeing Randy place that knife in Matt’s back. Given that The Street Profits have all the charisma and a large following surely this has to be walking out of Wrestlemania with the titles and perhaps Alpha Academy have to turn on each other soon?! After all, they have been very hit or miss lately.
Prediction: The Street Profits
Jez’s Prediction: RK-Bro
