A new visual teaser for Gundam: The Witch From Mercury TV series was released by studio Sunrise. The teaser shows off the new art-style of the show and gives us a closer look at the main protagonist and her Gundam.
This has been confirmed to be a full length show that will air on the “Sunday 5pm” (日5 Nichigo) slot on 28 MBS/TBS stations in Japan. The only public details we have currently are the names and designs of 3 Mobile Suits (mechs) that will be appearing in the show.
Currently, it is unconfirmed if any streaming sites will be picking this show up.
Not only is this first TV series to come out in seven years since Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans, but this will be the first time the series will have a female protagonist. As the franchise had always been primarily aimed towards a male audience, this is a bold move.

This show first aired in 2015
The tone of the music and the overall atmosphere indicates this may be a more dark entry. The orchestral melodies, powerful choir and muted dark blue colour palette are signs that tears will be shed.
