A while ago we here at All Maverick did an article regarding the addition of Kate Mulgrew in the latest Star Trek Online story. Now, that very episode of Teran Gambit has gone live and console players can finally experience fighting beside Janeway and that smooth voice of our favourite Captain!
After finally playing it for ourselves, we can confirm that the episode is an incredibly fun romp and that walking down the virtual halls of the Voyager whilst hearing Janeway speak still gives us goosebumps. It was a welcomed surprise seeing Janeway with the Voyager as most would expect her to be in a more modern ship, possibly even in the Janeway class ship. Nevertheless, it’s a welcome sight to see that STO has as much a thing for nostalgia as we do!
For the sake of readers who want to be kept spoiler-free, I’ll only say that the story is one that kept my attention from start to finish and that I’m already anticipating the next episode! The one spoiler I will give however is that the addition of ‘The Inquisitor’ and their ship, the I.S.S Defiant was a great inclusion, especially for me as my regular ship is a Defiant-class!
