Ever wanted to stay in a hotel that’s themed on a Star Wars Galactic cruiser?! Well, thanks to Disney now you can…if you just so happen to have a spare $4,100 (£3,058) lying around, and that’s just for one night! We did ask, but sadly Republic credits will not be fine.
If you, like any of us at All Maverick, are huge Star Wars fans, then it may be time to start saving up for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. We’re sure this experience will make a fine addition to any collection!

Launching just yesterday on March 1st, 2022, all forms of videos and reviews have been rolling in for this “ultimate immersive Star Wars experience”, costing anywhere between $4000-$6000 a night depending on your party size and length of stay (2 nights maximum). Allow us to take you through some of the highlights we’ve seen so far!

First of all, let’s talk about the entrance; The Foyer Awakens! This whole thing is truly an immersive experience from the get-go. Your given bands which operate as your room key but also as a way to open all the doors on this ‘ship’ which truly makes you feel like a fully functioning member of a crew! If you’d rather go old school, then you can instead manually input a code, which rather ingeniously is 1138, the number on Princess Leia’s Death Star prison cell!

Next up is the bar, which unfortunately is not named the Admiral Ack-Bar, but is fortunately full of Star-Wars-themed drinks. In the video tour from YouTuber Taya Miller, they order the Hoth Icebreaker, which seems cool enough to satisfy any size of Wumpa!

The bar also allows you to have a friendly game of Sabaac too, something that has become a staple in the Star Wars series. Those who have extensive knowledge of the franchise would know that this was the very game that Han Solo won the Millenium Falcon off of Lando Calrissian in! Thankfully, the cards are all holographic, making cheating impossible should the suave Donald Glover stop by. Although we sadly don’t have our own shop to gamble away, we’re sure space pirates could make use out of a Ford Kuga.
If spending $5000 a dollar just to be there isn’t expensive enough for you, then the gift shop (which sadly isn’t called the Darth Shopping Maul) has more than ample opportunities to find yourself riddled with dark side debt. Lightsabers collectors best make note, for the Star Wars Galactic Cruiser offers an exclusive lightsaber that can’t be purchasable anywhere else….until the inevitable ebay sellers that is.

Of course, this isn’t the only thing you can purchase! The shop offers many other tantalizing trinkets like Ahsoka Tano’s headpiece and Paige Tico’s neckpiece. All horrendously priced of course, because let’s be honest, if you didn’t have disposable income, you wouldn’t be there in the first place.

Even the on-board entertainment is to theme with singers and band members dressed as Twi’leks, Rodians, and all sorts of spacey species. We’re yet to see whether Max Rebo appears for a reunion tour.

Most intriguingly of course is the immersive storyline that customers can engage in during their time aboard The Star Cruiser! From undergoing a ‘random inspection’ by the First Order to then travelling to an asteroid field to rescue Chewbacca, and then having to move the Wookie around the ship to ensure he isn’t captured! From singers to staff to small interactable Droids, everyone has a part to play in this! Each activity furthers the unique story: Bridge training sees you rescue Chewie and bring him aboard, and Lightsaber training sees you unlock an old Jedi Holocron which has a message from Yoda himself!

The story even has a thrilling conclusion that lets you witness a battle between both Rey and Kylo Ren, suggesting that this immersive story takes place sometime between The Force Awakens and The Rise of SkyWalker! Overall, the story and the experience seem truly immersive from start to finish! We wish we could have a live execution scene of Jar Jar Binks, but I guess $5000 a day will only get you so much!

The rooms, like everything else, also look faithful to the Star Wars universe, though I do doubt the comfortability of those bunk beds! From the narrow hallways to the pristine block colour palette, this really does feel like a real, living, breathing spaceship straight from our TV screens.

The experience includes an excursion to the planet Batuu, which is literally just “Star Wars” land in Disney Hollywood Studio; ultimately a rather lazy addition, but welcome all the same.
That concludes our look at this truly amazing, albeit expensive attraction! Would you re-mortgage your home for a chance to stay at this hotel? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below! Better yet, join our All Maverick discord server!
