Capcom has set up a mysterious timer which is currently at 06 days and 12 hours until whatever is hiding behind it is revealed.

It’s clear that Capcom has something big in mind as they wouldn’t have set this up for no reason, so it must be big! As this is the digital age, it didn’t take long for the rumour mill to start and the countdown was soon the main topic of a lot of discussions! I’ve found the most common theories!
Resident Evil 4 Remake?

The most common theory is that this countdown is going to eventually reveal the announcement of a Resident Evil 4 Remake! It’s worth noting that the countdown happens to expire on Presidents Day, which is supposedly a nod to the aforementioned game.
The Next Street Fighter?

The second most recognised theory is that the countdown is going to reveal the next instalment in the Street Fighter series! Street Fighter V was released on the 16th of February 2016 which is a considerable amount of time ago. A supporting theory for this is also that the countdown ends on the last day of the Capcom cup which is an annual tournament pitting the best Street Fighter players against each other.
Summary
At the end of the day, only time will tell when this countdown finally hits zero and its secrets are revealed to us all. It’s safe to say that the hype train is well and truly on its way and the fans are running with this one! It’s worth taking note that the countdown will end on Sunday, 20th February at 10 pm PT / 1 am ET (So, 6 am on Monday 21st February for those in GMT time zones).
