It’s safe to say that the Obi-Wan Kenobi series is the most anticipated Star Wars project ever since its announcement. If you need to read up on all we know about the series then you can find our articles on that here and here.
The latest instalment of information about the Kenobi Series comes from a tweet from Brandon SanGiovanni. Brandon is a part of Disney+’s management team and has since privated his Twitter account since the tweet went live.
We here at All Maverick hope nobody has gotten into too much trouble over this tweet and hope all is well for Brandon who attempted a follow-up tweet stating that the initial tweet was in regards to the comic series which will feature everybody’s favourite Space Jesus.
It is worth noting that this year’s Star Wars Day (May the Fourth) is on a Wednesday, the preferred date of release for Disney+ which is seen with The Mandolorian and The Book Of Boba Fett. Perhaps SanGiovanni has revealed the actual release date for the series which will appeal to not only the men but the women and children too!
It is also worth noting that since this tweet went up, StarWars.com has officially announced that the before mentioned comic series will be coming out in May, but many are saying this is merely a deflection.
One fan speculated that this tweet was merely to stir up hype and that on the 9th of February (next Wednesday as of writing) we will see the trailer released for the Kenobi series and also get an exact release date for it too.
