Many videogames tend to be so good that they warrant a sequel to continue the story or, in some cases, serve as a prequel. Bully or Canis Canem Edit for example were phenomenal games and their fans are still waiting to this day for a sequel or even just solid news of a new game being in development.

It seems now that Dragon Age 4 will be added to the long list of games people want; it’s been seven years since the release of Dragon Age Inquisition and it seems we may have a wait even longer than seven years before we get the next installment in the Dragon Age series.
Rest assured our commitment to a high-quality Dragon Age game has not waivered, and we will not ship a game that is not up to BioWare’s standards.

The quote above comes from a staff email written by General Manager Gary McKay in which he confirmed the departure of Dragon Age 4′s senior creative director Matt Goldman. As originally reported by Kotaku, EA has confirmed the departure of Mr. Goldman. The current state of Dragon Age 4 is unknown so it’s unsure how big of a setback this has been.
