To complete our trio of coverage of the up-and-coming Star Wars shows here at All Maverick; it’s time to cover Andor.

Sadly as far as the story goes, nothing is known beyond the fact that the series will take focus on Rogue One’s Cassian Andor; it is classified as a ‘spy thriller’ and will be set five years before the events of Rogue One. The series will air with twelve episodes in the first season. Diego Luna will return as Cassian Andor and will also be executive producing the series along with Ben Caron and Sussana White.
“The rousing spy thriller will explore tales filled with espionage and daring missions to restore hope to a galaxy in the grip of a ruthless Empire.”

As far as writing goes; Anthony Gilroy is the showrunner and has written the majority of the show and is also the reason that Alan Tudyk’s K2-SO will no longer be appearing in the show’s first season. Along with him Pack Beauregard Willimon and former Showwrite Stephen Schiff are the main writers for the series which is being produced as a Disney+ exclusive.

The cast is where we do have something a bit more substantial. However, while we do know the list of cast members, unfortunately, the names of their characters are unknown apart from Alan Tudyk, who is confirmed to be returning as the loveable comedic K-2SO; however, he will not be appearing in the first series. Genevieve O’Reilly will be returning to the role of Mon Mothma alongside Forest Whitaker who will reprise his role as Saw Gerrera.
Now, the names of some pretty notable people who have been announced to be joining the Andor cast: Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Fiona Shaw, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller & Robert Emms will all see involvement on screen in the Andor Series in some capacity.
Stellan Skarsgård best known as Boris Shcherbina in Chernobyl Adria Arjona (Jules Reyes in Pacific Rim Uprising) Fiona Shaw, most known as Aunt Petunia Dursley in the Harry Potter movies I’ll be honest, I’ve never seen her in anything In all honesty, I don’t know this person or what they’ve been in Robert Emms know for his role as Leonid Toptunov in Chernobyl
