New Tomb Raider TV Series!

Yes, you read the title right, our much loved British Explorer is getting herself an animated series. The series has yet to be given an official release date but that won’t stop the hype train from leaving the station. Announced as a part of the 25th anniversary of the Tomb Raider series, the show has been commissioned by Netflix and sees Tasha Huo as the Writer and Executive Producer.

With fans speculating what this series might have in store for our favorite historian, we have plenty of theories as to who else might be appearing in the show alongside Lara. Sadly nothing has been confirmed but fans of the series seem to suspect that Lara’s uncle Atlas might have some involvement in the series. A lot of people seem to have high hopes that Lara’s friend Samantha ‘Sam’ Nishimura might make a return as the last time we saw her was in 2013’s Tomb Raider with her last mention during Shadow Of The Tomb Raider. Some seem to speculate that her bond with Lara may even take a romantic turn.

Here’s what we know about the show which at the time of writing isn’t an awful lot. Earl Baylon will reprise his role as Jonah Maiava, which to most of us is no surprise as he has been accompanying Lara on her wild adventures since 2013’s Tomb Raider.

The series will be joining the new games to the old classic Tomb Raider games we have all come to know and love which is where the next character comes into play. Allen Maldonaldo’s Zip: For those like myself who need a refresher on Zip, he is essentially Lara’s IT and computer expert.

Lastly, we have the woman herself, Lara Croft who is set to be voiced by Hayley Atwell. Atwell is known for her role as Peggy Carter in Marvel’s Agent Carter and also a cameo role in the Captain America movies. She has also recently got her teeth into voice acting in Marvel’s ‘What If’ Series as Captain Carter.

Sadly, that is all the information available to us on the Tomb Raider Netflix series. Please do let us know your thoughts down below and ensure to stick with us here at All Maverick for any news regarding this!
