Sadly, as hyped as we all were for an Obi-Wan Kenobi official teaser trailer, we didn’t get much in terms of new and exciting content. It was less of a trailer and more of a behind-the-scenes look at the production of the series; which is what many people were not hoping for. Some of us may have been ambitious in wanting some actual footage from the series but the trailer has split the community.
From this ‘Behind The Scenes’, we aren’t offered much if any new information for the Kenobi series, with the majority of the pictures that flash across the screen, having already been released prior. (If you’d like to read about those you can find our article here). There are a few new concept pictures that come from this trailer but unfortunately, they don’t offer much in terms of detail. After replaying the video we managed to grab the unseen shots.
These first three images don’t seem to offer us much in terms of story. They all appear to be different locations which we could potentially see within the Kenobi Series. It is worth noting that the third image could quite possibly be a part of the Coruscant under city; the criminal underworld for those not in the know.
This image however is the best piece of content that comes from the trailer, mostly in part due to its ambiguity. It depicts Darth Vader at his Castle on Mustafar as he appears to be either watching or speaking to an unknown presence.
However, ultimately this teaser was nevertheless disappointing, as even Hayden Christensen’s return to the role of Darth Vader has had a lessened impact, since it’s been known since the 29th of March 2021.
