Finally, after a long arduous wait since its initial announcement on the 27th of September 2019 we have some fresh content regarding the Obi-Wan Kenobi Series coming to Disney+.
For those unaware, the Kenobi series will be a show depicting the events of Jedi Master Obi-Wan in between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. Through this set of newly released concept art, we might be able to decipher a few clues as to what the show is going to have in store for its viewers.
The first image is the most interesting as it looks like our beloved Jedi Master will be facing off against his former Padawan once more on the lava planet of Mustafar; only this time rather than a duel of fates with Anakin Skywalker it looks like a clash with the legendary Sith Lord, Darth Vader himself.
Unfortunately, there isn’t much to dissect from the second image, as it simply shows our beloved hero riding some kind of Animal on what is presumably the sands of Tatooine. The third image however is my personal favourite of the set; Showing the Stormtroopers of the Empire roaming the halls of what once was the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. As any Star Wars fan would know this soon became the Imperial Palace of Emperor Palpatine. It seems the Kenobi series will finally give us some insight into the Imperial takeover of the galaxy.
The fourth and final picture looks to be a squadron of Stormtroopers disembarking from an Imperial Transport ship onto a sandy planet. It’s possible that they could be landing on Tatooine in search of our Jedi protagonist.
In other news, on Friday the 12th of November, Disney is hosting ‘Disney+ Day’ which promises to show us the first-ever teaser trailer for Kenobi along with content from other Star Wars projects; namely The Book of Boba Fett, Star Wars Andor, and The Mandalorian. No matter what they release you can rest assured that we here at All Maverick will be covering everything Star Wars as soon as we can so check back with us in the coming days.
