The Book of Boba Fett Premieres This December, First Trailer Released

Lucasfilms and Disney Plus today unveiled the first official trailer for The Book of Boba Fett, a live-action Star Wars adventure coming this December. First teased after the end credits scene of The Mandalorian Season 2 finale, now the fan-favourite bounty hunter is finally getting his own series.

The story begins directly after the events of The Mandalorian after-credits scene, with Fett aided by mercenary Fennec Shand seeking to command the territory and criminal underworld previously dominated by Jabba the Hutt.

“Jabba ruled with fear. I intend to rule with respect.”

Both Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen are set to reprise their roles, playing as legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and renowned mercenary assassin Fennec Shand respectively.

This spin-off comes from The Mandalorian show creators Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, joined by Robert Rodriguez and Bryce Dallas Howard, who are set to direct episodes as well as Filoni. The series isn’t the only Mandalorian spin-off in the works either; Star Wars: Ahsoka and Star Wars: Rangers of The New Republic were both previously announced for Disney+ last year.

The first episode of Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett is streaming exclusively on Disney+ on December 29th 2021.
