SPOILERS AHEAD FOR WANDAVISION!
Banking off the success of their current spin-off series; The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Loki, and What if…?, Marvel seems to be expanding their range of shows even more by giving Wandavision’s villainous witch Agatha Harkness her own solo adventure.
Kathryn Hahn’s malicious magic-user Agatha ‘All Along’ Harkness was the breakout star and villain of the MCU’s first Disney+ series. Initially being a nosy neighbour occupying Wanda Maximoff’s physic sitcom sphere, she was later revealed to be a devious enchantress, manipulating The Scarlet Witch in order to absorb her power.

Although she was ultimately defeated, she was left alive and imprisoned as a hypnotised neighbour in an old American town. While initially seen as a cruel eternal fate for the villain, it’s now clear that this was a deliberate choice in order to set up this new upcoming Disney+ series.
There are currently very few details about the show, but reports show that WandaVision’s head writer Jac Scheaffer will once again be taking the helm, with Kathryn Hahn also reprising her role as Agatha. Will this series be a completely villain-led story of vengeance, or will Agatha find some form of twisted redemption much in the way Loki did in his own series?

While we know next to nothing for now, one thing’s for sure; we definitely want there to be more toe-tapping theme tunes! The Witch’s theme song “Agatha All Along” from WandaVision became a chart-topping hit earlier this year, reaching the #1 spot on iTunes. The tune was written by Robert and Kristen Anderson-Lopez of Frozen fame, so perhaps there are some odd benefits to the Marvel Disney merger after all.
As far as anyone can tell, the show is still in early stages, but for now, we still have plenty of other MCU shows on the horizon; Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk and Moon Knight just to name a few! We’re happy to wait patiently until Agatha inevitably returns yet again to spread her purple prowess!
