Netflix’s Squid Game is like Fall Guys meets Dystopian nightmares

Netflix has released a new trailer for Squid Game, a dystopian sci-fi thriller that promises contestants a life-changing prize – if they can endure a succession of perilous trials.

The series is introduced with 456 people, all struggling with some kind of financial problems, invited to participate in a mysterious competition involving various traditional children’s games. Except they aren’t really games for children, or anyone for that matter. There can only be one winner in this battle royale-style tournament, with those who fail to succeed or outright refuse to play being violently eliminated. To the sole winner goes ₩45.6 billion which comes in at slightly over £28 million.

Written and directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk and starring a talented cast of well-known actors including Lee Jung-jae and Park Hae-soo, this 8 episode Netflix original series will be internationally available this coming Friday, 17th September.
