Christmas comes with a Bow in Hawkeye’s First Trailer!

🎵 Bows and arrow stuff, I have had enough, can they stop the Calvary? 🎵

It’s beginning to look a lot like…Clintmas? Or rather, it’s beginning to look like yet another MCU Disney+ TV series, but at least this one has the decency to mix it up with a fun festive theme!

Having been announced over 2 years ago, Hawkeye’s own solo show is set to be the 5th official Marvel series to be streamed on Disney+, following Wandavision, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Loki and What If…?

The first trailer for the series was released today and can be watched right now!

Beauty truly is the Hawk-eye of the beholder

This new series sees Jeremy Renner return as Clint Barton teaming up with fellow Master Archer Kate Bishop (played by Hailee Steinfeld). In the comics, Bishop goes on to take the mantle of Hawkeye, so will this series be the last time we see Clint as the titular bow-shooting hero?

The series seemingly revolves around the many criminal gangs seeking vengeance after Clint’s 5-year stint as the murderous vigilante Ronin during Avengers Endgame. Now on the run from his past, Clint must team up with Bishop in order to get back to his family “for Christmas”. How? By shooting an absurd amount of arrows of course!

This show looks set to have more arrows than the M25

But that’s not all the action on show, as the trailer shows a good dose of jumping, swinging, bullet dodging, Molotov chucking, Dogs with Hats…ing….and more, all in store for this explosive Winter watch. Best of all, we get a glimpse of the broadway show “Rogers the Musical” with a singing-dancing Captain America. What else could you want for Christmas?

🎵 Captain Time, Mistletoe and Crime 🎵

Judging from the trailer, this new show is going all out with festive theme-ing; with snow, Trees, and jingles a-plenty as Clint and Kate shoot their way out of scrapes. We’re desperately hoping that this show provides more of an interesting buddy-duo dynamic than The Falcon and the Winter Solider offered. In any case, with snow in the air and explosions on the ground, could Hawkeye be the next Die Hard on everyone’s annual Christmas Watch list?

Of course the BOW and Arrow guy would wear a BOW Tie

Joining the cast are Fra Fee, Vera Farmiga, and Alaqua Coz as Maya Lopez (known as Echo in the comics). The series will start streaming on Disney+ on the 24th of November. If the previous Marvel streaming shows have been anything to go by, then this series could either be a pleasant distraction, or an important addition to the lore of the continuing MCU saga!

Are you excited for this new arrow-shooting series? Will it be a bullseye or a hit and a miss? Let us know in the comments below!
